Resources for Restaurant Owners or Managers

California is proud to call itself "America's Largest nonsmoking secton." California was the first state in the U.S. to ban smoking in indoor workplaces, including restaurants and bars. Since the California Smoke-free Workplace Law went into effect in 195, survey afte survey has shown that Californians support the state's smoke-free law and have significantly benefited from it--even people who smoke.

Californians prefer eating at smoke-free restaurants. Cities and counties throughout the state are adopting smoke-free outdoor dining policies for areas such as cafes and patios.
